ILOVEUNITED Event in Kolkata
One of the finest fan events of Manchester United, ILOVEUNITED returned to Kolkata after 6 years, India where more than 8 thousand fans enjoyed the Premier League game between the Reds and Newcastle United. The event featured a fan screening as well as other engaging competitions.
The fan event was organized by Manchester United officials at the Big Lawn Nicco Park yesterday. Club legends Wes Brown and Mikael Silvestre were present at the auspicious occasion as they enjoyed the stalemate with the fans.
Kolkata got the nod when Manchester United organized a virtual contest among the cities in India.
With everything going on simultaneously, the Antony signed jersey contest caught the eye, and a fan successfully secured the trademark Antony skill to win the jersey.

Talking about the fans as well as ISL, culture, and Food, Wes Brown said,
I can’t belive how many fans are here. Possibly 8000+ fans a great turn out for any #ILOVEUNITED event.
ISL games are better and bigger every year. I had a great time in India, Kerala. Great to see fans there. Didn’t expect to see many fans there. The atmosphere was very fantastic.
I love spicy food. I mean the hot spicy is very hot but the medium is very good
Silvestre asserted,
We are 8000 fans, crazy fans, please support. We will give you the best result
Having arrived two hours prior to the event, a fan said,
It is such a great feeling for us to see these legends of Man Utd infront of us. Thank you Manchester United for hosting this amazing and fantastic fan event in our country India. It is a lifetime experience for us. It’s like dream comes true. Watching club legends like Wes Brown and Silvestre is a treat for us. I hope they comeback in kolkata once again in the coming future.
It’s a disappointing result for us. Most of the descisions went against us. However, we have to pick up ourselves and move on to the next match against Tottenham.
Manchester United vs Newcastle United FC Fan Screening Reaction
Manchester United and Newcastle United shared spoils with Marcus Rashford missing a big chance late into the game. The Reds picked up their first draw of the campaign as they have 16 points in 9 matches, maintaining the 5th position.
The fans were screaming inside the park for 1 hour before the match. Wes Brown gave the 2-0 prediction for Manchester United and he predicted CR7 and Antony will score 1 goal each. Silvestre gave the 3-0 prediction and he predicted that Ronaldo will score a hat-trick. When fans saw Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting XI and also on the big screen, fans got crazy and screamed “SIUUUUUUUUUUUU”. Whenever Man United was attacking, the fans were screaming. But when CR7 went out of the ground after 70 min of the match, the fans were very disappointed as they thought that he will play the rest 20 min as well.
It was such a great experience for the fans. After the match, Fans were disappointed with Man United’s performance specifically the performance of Fred. But they enjoyed this #ILOVEUNITED Kolkata event so much.
