Emami East Bengal New Jersey: As we inch closer to celebrating Maa Durga’s arrival, Emami East Bengal released brand new jerseys for the forthcoming ISL season at Rajdnaga Naba Uday Sangha, a local Durga Puja ground near Kashba. Midfielder Souvik Chakraborty, Star forward Cleiton Silva, and Winger VP Suhair apeared with Home, Away and Third Jersey respectively at the auspicious event while fans would expect a far better outcome this time around.
Given that East Bengal FC have a strong connection with the people of Bengal, the unveiling of new ISL jerseys amidst Bengal’s biggest festival – Durga Puja was a step to reach out to the football fraternity in a celebratory environment. With UNESCO attributing Durga Puja as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, this year the celebrations have been even bigger.
Former players Monoranjan Bhattacharya, Prasanta Banerjee, and Bikash Panji were given a cordial reception along with popular film stars such as Parambrata Chatterjee and Ena Saha. East Bengal head coach Stephen Constantine also addressed the fans, saying ” Joy East Bengal “. The former Indian National Team gaffer also promised the Red & Gold brigade fans that his players would give their best and try to win as many as possible.
